Sound Ocean Metal Fabricators, Ltd. was selected by North Coast Fisheries, Santa Rosa, CA, to design, fabricate and install a new state of the art hand fillet line to handle many different species of fish. The line incorporated receiving fish in totes, hand fillet, skin, treat with ozone and vacuum pack in trays.
The complete line was assembled at the SOMF manufacturing facility and then shipped to Santa Rosa for installation by SOMF personnel.
The narrow room available for the hand filleting conveyors required incorporating transfer conveyors to move the fillets to an adjacent room for the ozone treatment and packaging.
